In our regional and nationwide rankings, out-of-state tution and fees are used in our calculations. Average in-state tuition and fees are used for our statewide rankings.
Best Utah Schools for Affordable Quality in Public Health
Our 2023 rankings named Utah State University the best value school in Utah for public health students. Located in the small city of Logan, USU is a public college with a fairly large student population.
USU undergraduate students pay an average of $8,960 in in-state tuition and fees each year. The average amount in student loans that public health majors at USU take out is $22,500.
In addition to its best value ranking, and one of the reasons why the school is on the list, USU is ranked #2 for overall quality for public health in Utah.

Our 2023 rankings named Brigham Young University - Provo the best value school in Utah for public health students. Located in the midsize city of Provo, BYU is a private not-for-profit college with a very large student population.
BYU undergraduate students pay an average of $6,120 in in-state tuition and fees each year. On average, public health graduates from BYU take out $10,674 in student loans while working on their degree.
