To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Public Health program at each school on the list.

Our 2023 rankings named Georgia Southern University the most popular school in the Southeast Region for public health students working on their doctor’s degree. GaSou is a very large public school located in the town of Statesboro.
Women make up 64% of the public health majors at the school.

Out of the 35 schools in the Southeast Region that were part of this year’s ranking, University of South Florida - Main Campus landed the # 2 spot on the list. Located in the city of Tampa, USF Tampa is a public college with a very large student population.
Of the 25 students majoring in public health at USF Tampa, 36% are male and 64% are female.
