Our analysis looked at 35 schools in the Southeast Region to see which doctor's degree programs were the most popular for healthcare students. To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Public Health program at each school on the list.

Statesboro, GA

Our 2023 rankings named Georgia Southern University the most popular school in the Southeast Region for public health students working on their doctor’s degree. GaSou is a very large public school located in the town of Statesboro.

Women make up 64% of the public health majors at the school.

A rank of #2 on this year’s list means University of South Florida - Main Campus is a great place for public health students working on their doctor’s degree. Located in the large city of Tampa, USF Tampa is a public college with a very large student population.

Of the 25 students majoring in public health at USF Tampa, 36% are male and 64% are female.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Tulane University of Louisiana. It ranked #3 on our 2023 Most Popular Public Health Doctor’s Degree Schools in the Southeast Region list. Tulane is a fairly large private not-for-profit school located in the large city of New Orleans.

About 71% of the students majoring in public health at the school are women while 29% are male.

Out of the 35 schools in the Southeast Region that were part of this year’s ranking, University of Georgia landed the # 5 spot on the list. UGA is a fairly large public school located in the medium-sized city of Athens.
