Our 2023 rankings named University of Indianapolis the best school in Indiana for healthcare students working on their associate degree.
If you want to attend UIndy, expect to pay an average of $33,516 in tuition and fees. Of course, this could be reduced if you receive financial aid. By the time they get their associate degree, students from this school have racked up an average of $33,895 in student loans.
UIndy does have options available for those who want to take online classes. You will need to check with the school to see if they are available for your specific major. Of all the undergraduates enrolled at the school during the 2019-2020 academic year, around 96% took at least some of their classes online.
The excellent associate degree programs at Ivy Tech Community College helped the school earn the #2 place on this year’s ranking of the best healthcare schools in Indiana.
In-state students pay an average of $4,637 in tuition and fees if they attend Ivy Tech Community College full time. Out-of-state students pay an average of $8,927. Associate Degree recipients from Ivy Tech Community College accumulate an average of $15,984 in student debt by the time they complete their degree.
One thing to take note of is that Ivy Tech Community College does offer online classes in some areas. To give an idea of how popular online courses are at the school, 81% of undergraduates took at least one course online in 2019-2020.
The excellent associate degree programs at Indiana University - Purdue University - Indianapolis helped the school earn the #3 place on this year’s ranking of the best healthcare schools in Indiana.
The average in-state tuition and fees for students at IUPUI is $10,044. Out-of-state students pay an average of $32,101. Associate Degree recipients from IUPUI accumulate an average of $21,898 in student debt by the time they complete their degree.
One thing to take note of is that IUPUI does offer online classes in some areas. Of all the undergraduates enrolled at the school during the 2019-2020 academic year, around 96% took at least some of their classes online.

Out of the 14 schools in Indiana that were part of this year’s ranking, University of Saint Francis - Fort Wayne landed the # 4 spot on the list.
University of St. Francis Fort Wayne does not offer a discount to in-state students, so the average tuition and fees for all undergraduates is $33,390. This amount may be reduced if you receive financial aid. On average, associate degree students take out $29,695 in loans while pursuing their degree.
Depending on your major, you may be able to take online classes at University of St. Francis Fort Wayne. During the 2019-2020 year, about 81% of the undergraduates at the school took at least one online course.
You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Ball State University. It ranked #5 on our 2023 Best Healthcare Associate Degree Schools in Indiana list.
Full-time students from Indiana pay an average of $10,290 in tuition and fees if they choose to attend Ball State. If you are from out of state, expect to pay an average of $27,524. Purdue University Global is primarily an online school, so it is a great choice for returning adults and students who work full time.
University of Southern Indiana did quite well in this year’s ranking of the best places for healthcare students to get an associate degree. It came in at #7 on the list.
In-state students pay an average of $9,509 in tuition and fees if they attend USI full time. If you are from out of state, expect to pay an average of $21,812. On average, associate degree students take out $21,817 in loans while pursuing their degree.
One thing to take note of is that USI does offer online classes in some areas. In fact, around 67% of the undergraduate population registered for at least one online class in 2019-2020.
With a ranking of #8, International Business College - Indianapolis did quite well on this year’s best schools for healthcare students working on their associate degree.
Associate Degree recipients from International Business College - Indianapolis accumulate an average of $13,313 in student debt by the time they complete their degree.
You may have the opportunity to take online classes at International Business College - Indianapolis. To give an idea of how popular online courses are at the school, 75% of undergraduates took at least one course online in 2019-2020.

University of Evansville did quite well in this year’s ranking of the best places for healthcare students to get an associate degree. It came in at #9 on the list.
The average tuition and fees at UE is $39,806. In-state students do not receive a discount, however you may be able to reduce your price if you receive financial aid. Associate Degree recipients from UE accumulate an average of $26,470 in student debt by the time they complete their degree.
You may have the opportunity to take online classes at UE. In fact, around 55% of the undergraduate population registered for at least one online class in 2019-2020.
Indiana University - South Bend ranked #10 on this year’s Best Healthcare Associate Degree Schools in Indiana list.
Full-time students from Indiana pay an average of $7,827 in tuition and fees if they choose to attend Indiana University - South Bend. Those students who come from outside the state pay an average of $20,934.
Some students may be able to take online classes at Indiana University - South Bend. In 2019-2020 about 96% of the undergraduate students at the school chose to take one or more online courses.
With a ranking of #11, Bethel University - Mishawaka did quite well on this year’s best schools for healthcare students working on their associate degree.

Indiana University - Northwest came in at #13 in this year’s edition of the Best Healthcare Associate Degree Schools in Indiana ranking.

By the time they get their associate degree, students from this school have racked up an average of $22,344 in student loans.
If you are interested in distance education, be sure to check with the school since IU Northwest does offer online classes for certain majors. In fact, around 93% of the undergraduate population registered for at least one online class in 2019-2020.
Vincennes University came in at #14 in this year’s edition of the Best Healthcare Associate Degree Schools in Indiana ranking.
Students from Indiana who attend Vincennes University full time pay an average of $6,449 in tuition and fees. Those students who come from outside the state pay an average of $15,253. Associate Degree recipients from Vincennes University accumulate an average of $15,648 in student debt by the time they complete their degree.
Depending on your major, you may be able to take online classes at Vincennes University. During the 2019-2020 year, about 16% of the undergraduates at the school took at least one online course.
