Our 2023 rankings named Saint Vincent College the best school in the Middle Atlantic Region for healthcare students working on their basic certificate.
If you want to attend Saint Vincent, expect to pay an average of $38,741 in tuition and fees. Of course, this could be reduced if you receive financial aid.
Saint Vincent does have options available for those who want to take online classes. You will need to check with the school to see if they are available for your specific major. In fact, around 40% of the undergraduate population registered for at least one online class in 2019-2020.

Out of the 65 schools in the Middle Atlantic Region that were part of this year’s ranking, New York Institute of Technology landed the # 3 spot on the list.
NYIT does not offer a discount to in-state students, so the average tuition and fees for all undergraduates is $39,760. This amount may be reduced if you receive financial aid.
Depending on your major, you may be able to take online classes at NYIT. Of all the undergraduates enrolled at the school during the 2019-2020 academic year, around 33% took at least some of their classes online.
You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around you if you attend Cedar Crest College. The school came in at #4 on this year’s Best Healthcare Basic Certificate Schools in the Middle Atlantic Region list.
Cedar Crest does not offer a discount to in-state students, so the average tuition and fees for all undergraduates is $42,591. This amount may be reduced if you receive financial aid.
If you are interested in distance education, be sure to check with the school since Cedar Crest does offer online classes for certain majors. In fact, around 50% of the undergraduate population registered for at least one online class in 2019-2020.
You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around you if you attend New York University. The school came in at #5 on this year’s Best Healthcare Basic Certificate Schools in the Middle Atlantic Region list.

Students from Pennsylvania who attend Pitt full time pay an average of $20,362 in tuition and fees. If you are from out of state, expect to pay an average of $35,394.
Some students may be able to take online classes at Pitt. In 2019-2020 about 25% of the undergraduate students at the school chose to take one or more online courses.
Baltimore City Community College landed the #8 spot in the 2023 rankings for the best basic certificate healthcare programs.
Full-time students from Maryland pay an average of $3,314 in tuition and fees if they choose to attend Baltimore City Community College. Those students who come from outside the state pay an average of $7,394.
Baltimore City Community College is primarily an online school, so it is a great choice for returning adults and students who work full time.
With a ranking of #9, Clarion University of Pennsylvania did quite well on this year’s best schools for healthcare students working on their basic certificate.
Full-time students from Pennsylvania pay an average of $11,173 in tuition and fees if they choose to attend Clarion University. Those students who come from outside the state pay an average of $16,052.
Clarion University does have options available for those who want to take online classes. You will need to check with the school to see if they are available for your specific major. To give an idea of how popular online courses are at the school, 79% of undergraduates took at least one course online in 2019-2020.
Anne Arundel Community College came in at #10 in this year’s edition of the Best Healthcare Basic Certificate Schools in the Middle Atlantic Region ranking.
In-state students pay an average of $8,900 in tuition and fees if they attend AACC full time. Out-of-state students pay an average of $13,550.
Depending on your major, you may be able to take online classes at AACC. In 2019-2020 about 96% of the undergraduate students at the school chose to take one or more online courses.
Rochester Institute of Technology landed the #11 spot in the 2023 rankings for the best basic certificate healthcare programs.
If you don’t receive financial aid, you can expect a bill for $50,951 to cover tuition and fees at RIT. The school does not offer an in-state discount.
RIT does offer online classes for certain degree levels. In 2019-2020 about 84% of the undergraduate students at the school chose to take one or more online courses.
Montgomery County Community College ranked #12 on this year’s Best Healthcare Basic Certificate Schools in the Middle Atlantic Region list.
In-state students pay an average of $10,350 in tuition and fees if they attend Montco full time. If you are from out of state, expect to pay an average of $14,970.
Some students may be able to take online classes at Montco. In 2019-2020 about 91% of the undergraduate students at the school chose to take one or more online courses.
Laurel Business Institute did quite well in this year’s ranking of the best places for healthcare students to get a basic certificate. It came in at #13 on the list.
If you don’t receive financial aid, you can expect a bill for $10,970 to cover tuition and fees at LBI. The school does not offer an in-state discount.

Central Penn College came in at #15 in this year’s edition of the Best Healthcare Basic Certificate Schools in the Middle Atlantic Region ranking.
If you want to attend Central Penn, expect to pay an average of $18,714 in tuition and fees. Of course, this could be reduced if you receive financial aid.

With a ranking of #18, University of Maryland - Baltimore County did quite well on this year’s best schools for healthcare students working on their basic certificate.
The average in-state tuition and fees for students at UMBC is $12,280. Those students who come from outside the state pay an average of $28,470.

Mercyhurst University did quite well in this year’s ranking of the best places for healthcare students to get a basic certificate. It came in at #19 on the list.
If you don’t receive financial aid, you can expect a bill for $42,680 to cover tuition and fees at Mercyhurst. The school does not offer an in-state discount.
Online courses are available at Mercyhurst, but you will need to check with the school to see if they are available for your field of interest. In fact, around 26% of the undergraduate population registered for at least one online class in 2019-2020.
Trinity Washington University did quite well in this year’s ranking of the best places for healthcare students to get a basic certificate. It came in at #20 on the list.
If you don’t receive financial aid, you can expect a bill for $25,110 to cover tuition and fees at Trinity College. The school does not offer an in-state discount.

St. Joseph’s College - New York came in at #21 in this year’s edition of the Best Healthcare Basic Certificate Schools in the Middle Atlantic Region ranking.
The average tuition and fees at SJC is $30,576. In-state students do not receive a discount, however you may be able to reduce your price if you receive financial aid.
SJC does have options available for those who want to take online classes. You will need to check with the school to see if they are available for your specific major. In fact, around 51% of the undergraduate population registered for at least one online class in 2019-2020.
Ocean County College ranked #22 on this year’s Best Healthcare Basic Certificate Schools in the Middle Atlantic Region list.
Some students may be able to take online classes at OCC. Of all the undergraduates enrolled at the school during the 2019-2020 academic year, around 44% took at least some of their classes online.
California University of Pennsylvania did quite well in this year’s ranking of the best places for healthcare students to get a basic certificate. It came in at #23 on the list.
The average in-state tuition and fees for students at Cal U is $11,108. Those students who come from outside the state pay an average of $15,726.
Depending on your major, you may be able to take online classes at Cal U. During the 2019-2020 year, about 64% of the undergraduates at the school took at least one online course.
Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania ranked #24 on this year’s Best Healthcare Basic Certificate Schools in the Middle Atlantic Region list.
Full-time students from Pennsylvania pay an average of $10,507 in tuition and fees if they choose to attend SRU. Those students who come from outside the state pay an average of $14,615.
You may have the opportunity to take online classes at SRU. During the 2019-2020 year, about 98% of the undergraduates at the school took at least one online course.
Montgomery College came in at #25 in this year’s edition of the Best Healthcare Basic Certificate Schools in the Middle Atlantic Region ranking.
In-state students pay an average of $10,254 in tuition and fees if they attend Montgomery College full time. Out-of-state students pay an average of $14,061.
Depending on your major, you may be able to take online classes at Montgomery College. To give an idea of how popular online courses are at the school, 37% of undergraduates took at least one course online in 2019-2020.
