This report analyzed 22 schools in Georgia to see which ones offered the best value master's degree programs for healthcare students. The goal was to highlight schools with more affordable prices than others offering similar quality experiences.
This ranking is not just a list of inexpensive schools. We also consider each school's quality, since we believe a low-quality school may not be a 'bargain' at any price. Specifically, our score for quality is discounted by the published tuition and fees charged by the given college. This gives the cost per unit of quality for each college. The more quality your dollar buys, the better the value.
For nationwide and regional rankings, we use out-of-state tuition and fees in our calculations. For statewide rankings, we use average in-state tuition and fees.

Our 2023 rankings named Georgia Southwestern State University the best value school in Georgia for healthcare students working on their master’s degree. GSW is a small public school situated in Americus, Georgia. It awarded 37 master’s degrees in 2020-2021.

A rank of #3 on this year’s list means Albany State University is a great place for healthcare students working on their master’s degree who want the most bang for their educational buck. Albany State is a public institution located in Albany, Georgia. The school has a medium-sized population, and it awarded 18 master’s degrees in 2020-2021.
Albany State graduate students pay an average of $15,586 in tuition and fees each year.
If you are interested in distance education, be sure to check with the school since Albany State does offer online graduate classes for certain majors. Of all the graduate students enrolled at the school during the 2019-2020 academic year, around 88% took at least some of their classes online.
You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around you if you attend University of North Georgia. The school came in at #4 on this year’s Best Value Healthcare Master’s Degree Schools in Georgia list. UNG is located in Dahlonega, Georgia and has a fairly large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 25 master’s degrees to qualified students.

The average tuition and fees for an out-of-state graduate students at Brenau are $13,940 a year.
