To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from each school on the list.

A rank of #2 on this year’s list means National Holistic Institute is a great place for healthcare students working on their basic certificate. National Holistic Institute is a small private for-profit school located in Emeryville, California that handed out 602 basic certificates in 2020-2021.
Around 72% of those degree recipients were women.
A rank of #3 on this year’s list means Unitek College is a great place for healthcare students working on their basic certificate. Unitek College is a private for-profit institution located in Fremont, California. The school has a small population, and it awarded 548 basic certificates in 2020-2021.
Of those students who received their degree, 91% were women.
Unitek College is one of the schools on our list that is primarily online. Each undergraduate student at the school took at least one class online.
Out of the 175 schools in California that were part of this year’s ranking, National University landed the # 4 spot on the list. National University is a fairly large private not-for-profit school situated in La Jolla, California. It awarded 492 basic certificates in 2020-2021.
