To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from each school on the list.

Indianapolis, Indiana is the setting for this large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out basic certificates to 4,667 students in 2020-2021.
Full-time students from Indiana pay an average of $4,637 in tuition and fees if they choose to attend Ivy Tech Community College. Out-of-state students pay an average of $8,927. Around 89% of those degree recipients were women.

The excellent basic certificate programs at Tulsa Technology Center helped the school earn the #2 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular healthcare schools in the United States. Tulsa Tech is located in Tulsa, Oklahoma and has a small student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 1,303 basic certificates to qualified students.
Of those students who received their degree, 84% were women.
You’ll be in good company if you attend University of Phoenix - Arizona. The school came in at #3 on this year’s Most Popular Healthcare Basic Certificate Schools list. Located in Tempe, Arizona, the large private for-profit school awarded 1,197 diplomas to qualifed basic certificate students in 2020-2021.
Of those students who received their degree, 94% were women.
Depending on your major, you may be able to take online classes at UOPX - Arizona. During the 2019-2020 year, about 100% of the undergraduates at the school took at least one online course.
You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Mountainland Technical College. It ranked #4 on our 2023 Most Popular Healthcare Basic Certificate Schools list. Mountainland Technical College is a public institution located in Lehi, Utah. The school has a small population, and it awarded 1,009 basic certificates in 2020-2021.

With a ranking of #8, Sinclair Community College did quite well on this year’s most popular schools for healthcare students working on their basic certificate. Sinclair Community College is a fairly large public school situated in Dayton, Ohio. It awarded 901 basic certificates in 2020-2021.

Martinsburg College ranked #10 on this year’s Most Popular Healthcare Basic Certificate Schools list. Located in Martinsburg, West Virginia, the small private for-profit school awarded 894 diplomas to qualifed basic certificate students in 2020-2021.
Of those students who received their degree, 98% were women.
Martinsburg College is one of the schools on our list that is primarily online. Each undergraduate student at the school took at least one class online.
With a ranking of #11, Madison Area Technical College did quite well on this year’s most popular schools for healthcare students working on their basic certificate. National Holistic Institute came in at #22 in this year’s edition of the Most Popular Healthcare Basic Certificate Schools ranking. This small private for-profit school is located in Emeryville, California, and it awarded 602 basic certificates in 2020-2021.
Of those students who received their degree, 72% were women.
Davis Technical College ranked #23 on this year’s Most Popular Healthcare Basic Certificate Schools list. Kaysville, Utah is the setting for this small institution of higher learning. The public school handed out basic certificates to 584 students in 2020-2021.
Around 74% of those degree recipients were women.
Gaston College did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for healthcare students to get a basic certificate. It came in at #24 on the list. Located in Dallas, North Carolina, the small public school awarded 577 diplomas to qualifed basic certificate students in 2020-2021.
The average in-state tuition and fees for students at Gaston College is $2,862. Those students who come from outside the state pay an average of $9,006. Around 95% of those degree recipients were women.
One thing to take note of is that Gaston College does offer online classes in some areas. Of all the undergraduates enrolled at the school during the 2019-2020 academic year, around 87% took at least some of their classes online.
College of Southern Nevada landed the #25 spot in the 2023 rankings for the most popular basic certificate healthcare programs. Located in Las Vegas, Nevada, the large public school handed out 565 basic certificate awards in 2020-2021.
In-state students pay an average of $3,848 in tuition and fees if they attend CSN full time. If you are from out of state, expect to pay an average of $11,534. Of those students who received their degree, 63% were women.
Some students may be able to take online classes at CSN. In fact, around 66% of the undergraduate population registered for at least one online class in 2019-2020.
