Of those students who received their degree, 91% were women.
A rank of #2 on this year’s list means Hunter Business School is a great place for healthcare students working on their basic certificate. Hunter Business School is a small private for-profit school situated in Levittown, New York. It awarded 331 basic certificates in 2020-2021.
Around 93% of those degree recipients were women.
A rank of #3 on this year’s list means Access Careers Islandia is a great place for healthcare students working on their basic certificate. Located in Islandia, New York, the very small private for-profit school awarded 258 diplomas to qualifed basic certificate students in 2020-2021.

A rank of #4 on this year’s list means New Age Training is a great place for healthcare students working on their basic certificate. New Age Training is a very small private for-profit school located in New York, New York that handed out 187 basic certificates in 2020-2021.

New York School for Medical and Dental Assistants did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for healthcare students to get a basic certificate. It came in at #10 on the list. New York School for Medical and Dental Assistants is a very small private for-profit school located in Long Island City, New York that handed out 30 basic certificates in 2020-2021.

Dutchess Community College came in at #11 in this year’s edition of the Most Popular Healthcare Basic Certificate Schools in New York ranking. Located in Poughkeepsie, New York, the medium-sized public school awarded 23 diplomas to qualifed basic certificate students in 2020-2021.

The average tuition and fees at NYU is $56,500. In-state students do not receive a discount, however you may be able to reduce your price if you receive financial aid. Of those students who received their degree, 82% were women.
If you are interested in distance education, be sure to check with the school since NYU does offer online classes for certain majors. In fact, around 99% of the undergraduate population registered for at least one online class in 2019-2020.
Rochester Institute of Technology came in at #13 in this year’s edition of the Most Popular Healthcare Basic Certificate Schools in New York ranking. Rochester Institute of Technology is a fairly large private not-for-profit school located in Rochester, New York that handed out 14 basic certificates in 2020-2021.
If you don’t receive financial aid, you can expect a bill for $50,951 to cover tuition and fees at RIT. The school does not offer an in-state discount. Of those students who received their degree, 86% were women.
One thing to take note of is that RIT does offer online classes in some areas. During the 2019-2020 year, about 84% of the undergraduates at the school took at least one online course.
New York Institute of Technology came in at #13 in this year’s edition of the Most Popular Healthcare Basic Certificate Schools in New York ranking. NYIT is located in Old Westbury, New York and has a medium-sized student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 14 basic certificates to qualified students.
NYIT does not offer a discount to in-state students, so the average tuition and fees for all undergraduates is $39,760. This amount may be reduced if you receive financial aid. Around 71% of those degree recipients were women.

The average in-state tuition and fees for students at Erie Community College is $5,722. Out-of-state students pay an average of $10,769.
One thing to take note of is that Erie Community College does offer online classes in some areas. Of all the undergraduates enrolled at the school during the 2019-2020 academic year, around 83% took at least some of their classes online.
