Our 2023 rankings named Rutgers University - New Brunswick the most popular school in New Jersey for healthcare students working on their doctor’s degree. Rutgers University - New Brunswick is a large public school located in New Brunswick, New Jersey that handed out 965 doctor’s degrees in 2020-2021.
Of those students who received their degree, 62% were women.
Depending on your major, you may be able to take online graduate classes at Rutgers New Brunswick. In fact, around 23% of the graduate population registered for at least one online class in 2019-2020.
You’ll be in good company if you attend Rowan University. The school came in at #2 on this year’s Most Popular Healthcare Doctor’s Degree Schools in New Jersey list. Rowan is a fairly large public school situated in Glassboro, New Jersey. It awarded 268 doctor’s degrees in 2020-2021.
Of those students who received their degree, 50% were women.

A rank of #4 on this year’s list means Seton Hall University is a great place for healthcare students working on their doctor’s degree. Located in South Orange, New Jersey, the medium-sized private not-for-profit school awarded 50 diplomas to qualifed doctor’s degree students in 2020-2021.
Of those students who received their degree, 56% were women.
Some students may be able to take online graduate classes at Seton Hall. During the 2019-2020 year, about 75% of the graduate students at the school took at least one online course.
You’ll be in good company if you attend Kean University. The school came in at #5 on this year’s Most Popular Healthcare Doctor’s Degree Schools in New Jersey list. Union, New Jersey is the setting for this fairly large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out doctor’s degrees to 32 students in 2020-2021.
Around 84% of those degree recipients were women.
